LIFE: Happy (Future) Father’s Day
When you meet “The One” there are things that are both beautiful and intimidating about that person. A lot of times those are the things you fall in love with. The things you would never want them to change.
For me, one of those things about Cale is the fact that he’s always wanted to be a dad.
The oldest of 5 kids I think fatherhood was sorta birthed into him.
He has this innate since with children that totally intimidates me.
And yet… it’s the sexiest thing you’ve ever seen!
There are days I swear he’ll be a better Mr. Mom than me.
I used to wonder why he didn’t marry a Suzie Miss Homemaker. Instead he married a “man hater”. We’ll that is what he says I was when I met him.
He’s soften me up a quite a bit!
In college his nickname was “Pa”. Yep, “Pa”… like your old man “Pa”.
Since we’ve been married Cale has helped me reach my dreams of running my own design firm. He’s walked beside me and has been my #1 fan (alongside my mom of course!).
And now, I get to give him his dream. His dream of being a dad. His dream of his very own family.
I can’t think of anything more beautiful than that!
Happy (Future) Father’s Day to Cale and all you other hard working dads!
32 weeks and counting!

High class design in overalls. It's the simple life of a farm through the eyes of a couple of crazy designers. We call ourselves Green Couch Design and we are Bringing Design Home.

That’s super sweet
I often feel the same way about Brent – oldest kid and best uncle to his three nephews. Me? No kiddo experience! Thank goodness for good men, eh?
Totally! Some how this whole parenthood thing is not nearly as intimidating knowing that you’ve got an excellent partner right there with you.
