Garden Finds: Seeds

It’s still cold outside but spring is coming soon, and there is no time like the present to start those seeds for a March or April planting. I always love to have a few beds available for experimentation with new plants or new seed products I’ve found. This little collection is just a fun selection of seeds and seed related items that caught my eye this past week as I was browsing the web. For those salty advanced gardeners, or for the beginners these finds will make you smile and possibly spark a little interest in your gardening adventures.

1: This is a wonderful little starter herb garden from www.notonthehighstreet.com

2: A little more adept at gardening, try this wonderful set, a seed box for storing those special seeds you want for next year. Plus you even get a little tin for your twine. Keeps everything nice and tidy. Get it all from www.gardentrading.co.uk

3: The little potter starter kit just seemed to cute to leave out and provides some awesome educational fun for the little gardener in your life. From www.notonthehighstreet.com

4: Still pleasing children to this day, Peter Rabbit, the much loved little character in Beatrix Potters classic tales, invades your home with a little starter garden seed kit for kids. I just love this little kit and I’m sure it’s full of more quaint English cuteness than you can stand. From www.henandhammock.co.uk

5: Jamie Oliver has been an inspiration and a great learning tool for me. His seed mixes are awesome as well (with cool graphics too), so if you’re looking for something a little different you might grab a hold of these. www.jamieoliver.com

6: Finally a little something for the desk. If you don’t happen to have a spare window, or a spare space in the back yard simply mix the contents, add water, and viola a little dash of color for that cubical, or work space. www.thisnext.com

All of these amazing seeds and kits are just some of the many wonderful products available out there to help get you started. So if your not such a green thumb, or if you tend to be more of a clean thumb, don’t worry…most of these will barely get your nails dirty. Enjoy and happy gardening!
