GCD: Tiny Tufa
It’s been a year of creativity for Meg and I; we’ve been blessed with a constant stream of new ideas and creative solutions. With new and more developed kitchen line products, as well as the steps we’ve taken with our jewelry it’s been a season of experimentation and development here at Green Couch.
Another exciting development for us are these recently redesigned tufa pots. We still make the large decor bowls we’ve always had but through conversations and feed back on Etsy we felt that many of our wonderful customers wanted something a little smaller, more quaint, and cute. So without further ado I would like to unveil the new and improved ‘Tiny Tufa’!
These wonderful little pots fit in the palm of your hand. With a beautiful little succulent peaking out of the top. A great addition to a kitchen window or purchase a collection for a center piece. Low maintenance at it’s best and so very very easy. The pot does all the work!
Tufa is a man made, bio-degradable, form of concrete. Made to mimic the traits of natural tufa stone. Which has been used for pots and containers for many years. Hypertufa is an absorbent concrete made from a mixture of cement, peat moss, and perlite. It will absorb any excess water in the pot and release it over time thus protecting from root rot and issues of leaking. These pots do wonderfully indoors because they do not require a catch plate for over watering. They also work great as focal points in flower beds around the house.
You can find these awesome little tufa creations at SHOP GOOD and we will be unveiling them for the first time live at Deluxe Indie Craft Bazaar. So come on out and see us this weekend, and check out the ‘tiny tufa’ and all the other wonderful things at Deluxe!
